Who we are

Helena’s career in education spans over 30 years with experience as a SENDCo and a teacher trainer. She brings exceptional school leadership experience to the post of interim strategic lead for academy development and improvement.

Helena has expertise in school improvement, inclusive practice and curriculum design, and in her role at Olive Academies, she works closely with academy leaders to drive sustainable improvement, strengthen teaching and learning, and ensure every pupil receives a high-quality education.

As headteacher at a large mainstream secondary school for seven years, Helena led the school to be named the most improved secondary school in Essex in 2016. She then went on to be awarded the title of Secondary Headteacher of the Year at the Essex Teaching Awards in 2018.

Helena is dedicated to ensuring the best possible outcomes for pupils across the trust.
