Located in the historic town of Wisbech, our academy supports up to 35 young people aged between 11 and 16.
David Saunders
Head of Academy
Students who attend our academy are dual registered with our academy being the subsidiary school and the school from which the student has been referred being the commissioning school. The overall objective for each student is that they will be supported to return to their mainstream school when they are ready.
Our aim at the academy is to transform the lives of children and young people for whom traditional teaching methods have not worked. We help our students develop the confidence, skills and knowledge to believe that they can be successful in their own lives.
The academy building was purpose built in 2010 with on-site facilities including a food technology kitchen, fully equipped design and technology suite, art studio, hair and beauty salon as well as a fitness suite. We also make use of nearby outdoor spaces such as Thetford Forest to further enhance pupils’ learning experience.
