How we work

We are a charity which has been created to raise funds for projects which benefit the marginalised children and young people that attend an Olive Academies school. Olive Academies Trust is a network of academies supporting children and young people aged between 7 and 16 who are at risk of exclusion, or have been excluded, from mainstream schools, or are unable to attend mainstream school due to special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

We rely on trustees to guide and lead this work on a voluntary basis. We value diversity in all our work and promote a culture in which everyone is treated fairly.

Our trustees

Olive Academies Foundation is governed by a group of trustees who oversee the fundraising and grant giving activities of the foundation. Find out more about our trustees.

"As chair of the trustees I am delighted to provide this overview of our progress since we registered as a charity in August 2021. A lot of essential activity has happened during our first year which has laid the foundations for the charity and, as with my fellow trustees, I am excited about achieving more for and with our vulnerable children and young people in the years ahead."

As a charitable organisation, we are committed to transparency, accountability and collaboration in all that we do. The generosity of donors, supporters and volunteers enables us to continue expanding our impact year after year. We welcome anyone who wishes to get involved - through fundraising, donations or partnerships - to join us in helping to change lives and create brighter futures for the young people we serve.

The Olive Academies Foundation plays a vital role in supporting the work of Olive Academies Trust by funding projects that make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable and marginalised young people. Our focus is on creating opportunities that help students build confidence, develop new skills and experience success, both in their education and in their wider lives. Through our fundraising efforts, we support initiatives that promote wellbeing, inclusion and personal growth, ensuring every young person has the chance to thrive.

We work closely with schools, local communities and partners who share our belief that every child deserves a fresh start and the opportunity to fulfil their potential. The money we raise goes directly towards projects that address real needs, whether through enrichment activities, specialist resources, outdoor learning, creative programmes or mentoring support.
