We’re excited to launch our second annual sponsored walk on Saturday 6 July, to raise much-needed funds for Olive Academies Foundation.
We’re calling on staff, students, families, and friends to lace up their walking shoes to take steps for our cause and help us reach our target of £5,000.
The sponsored walk, set to take place on 6 July at Thorndon Country Park, aims to raise vital funds for Olive Academies Foundation, with all proceeds directly contributing to the Venture Beyond programme.
Participants are encouraged to sign up and commit to raising a minimum of £50 in sponsorship, which will go towards providing students within Olive Academies Trust with invaluable opportunities for personal growth and development.
Olive Academies Foundation is dedicated to enriching the educational experiences of children and young people attending our academies across the trust. The vision is centred on providing students with access to projects and experiences that promote engagement in learning, broaden horizons, and nurture essential life skills, beyond the scope of the curriculum.
At the heart of the foundation's mission is the Venture Beyond programme, designed to offer students a transformative outdoor learning experience. This specialist programme aims to cultivate character, resilience, and essential skills that will empower students in their educational journey and beyond.
By participating in Venture Beyond, students gain invaluable insights and develop the tools needed to thrive in both academic and real-world settings.
The initial fundraising goal of the sponsored walk is to ensure that every OA student has the opportunity to participate in the Venture Beyond programme.
Through generous donations and sponsorship support, the foundation aims to make this character-building experience accessible to all students, regardless of financial circumstances.
Funds raised through the sponsored walk will be distributed to our academies via grants, facilitating the implementation of the Venture Beyond programme and other enriching projects.
