Who we are

Dan Hobbs is Head of Academy at OA-Nene Valley, having progressed from Senior Deputy Head of Academy. He brings more than 20 years' experience in education across mainstream and alternative provision. A qualified Computer Science and Maths teacher, Dan has held a range of senior leadership roles focused on raising achievement, supporting disadvantaged pupils, SEND, pastoral care and behaviour as well as leading curriculum development across both schools and multi-academy trusts.

Dan believes education is about much more than academic outcomes. While qualifications can open doors to future opportunities, he is passionate about helping young people develop character, confidence and resilience, while creating positive experiences and healthy relationships. He believes every child deserves to feel safe, valued and understood, and is committed to creating a school environment where pupils and staff feel a genuine sense of belonging.
