Ellen Watson

Trust SEND Lead

As Trust SEND Lead, Ellen plays a key role in improving SEND provision and outcomes for all pupils by coaching and guiding academy leaders and staff to deliver inclusive, impactful support across the trust.

A primary practitioner by background, Ellen has extensive experience working in large schools serving areas of high disadvantage. Over her career, she has also served as a Head of Academy and Designated Safeguarding Lead at OA-Suffolk.

Passionate about breaking down barriers to learning, Ellen works collaboratively with teams to identify needs and build systems and processes that are both strategic and flexible, ensuring that every child feels valued and supported to reach their potential, as well as bringing families along on that journey.

Ellen is a qualified primary teacher, SENDCo, MAT SEND Reviewer, SpLD specialist teacher and trauma-informed practitioner. This breadth of expertise allows Ellen to develop and implement support that works effectively from strategic planning through to day-to-day practice.

With a strong commitment to professional growth, Ellen is focused on continuing to build her skills and qualifications to further strengthen support for children, families and schools.
