Simon Bell
Executive Headteacher - North View and Thurrock
Simon brings over 25 years’ experience in education, with more than two decades spent in senior leadership roles within mainstream secondary schools.
At Olive, Simon uses his extensive experience in educational leadership and partnerships to improve outcomes for pupils. His understanding of both mainstream education and alternative provision helps to ensure his work is firmly grounded in what makes the greatest difference to young people. The learning gained through trust-wide and external work directly informs his leadership within the academies he oversees, strengthening curriculum, provision and practice so that pupils are supported to thrive and achieve their potential.
His experience also includes working within a Local Authority School Improvement Service, where he supported schools directly, led curriculum development projects and helped set up an alternative provision.
A former contracted Ofsted Inspector and Chair of the Thurrock Secondary Headteachers’ Association for five years, Simon is deeply committed to inclusion, curriculum breadth and staff development.
Simon’s work is driven by a determination to ensure that every young person has the strongest possible life chances, supported by professional integrity, collaboration and high-quality leadership.
