Olive Walk 2026

The Olive Walk returns this year with an exciting new format, as each academy takes on its own sponsored walk within the local community during the school day, allowing all our students to be part of the event.

On Thursday 9 July, staff and students across the trust will come together to walk distances up to 10k, fundraise and celebrate in support of Olive Academies Foundation. Each academy has designed its own route and activities for the day, creating a shared challenge that also reflects the unique spirit of each academy.

Alongside the walking, there will be plenty to enjoy, with additional activities such as picnics, games and even pedaloes to help bring the day to life.

And of course, there will be some healthy competition too, as academies compete to see who can raise the most money and be crowned this year’s Olive Walk champions.

See below for each academy’s donation page.

Olive Walk 2025

The 2025 sponsored Olive Walk took place on Saturday 28th June from 12:30pm and was hosted by colleagues from OA-Nene Valley.

The walk was around the lovely surroundings of Ferry Meadows, near Peterborough. It was an afternoon of fun for walkers and family members, making the most of the facilities at Ferry Meadows and offering a BBQ after the walk and fun team games (e.g. rounders).

All funds raised will go to benefit marginalised young people through our academies being funded to offer life enhancing opportunities and experiences.

Olive Walk 2024

On Saturday 12 October 2024, staff, students, families and friends from across Olive Academies came together at Thorndon Country Park in Brentwood for a fantastic afternoon of fresh air, community and connection.

The event, organised by our Havering and Thurrock academies, brought together walkers of all ages, taking part in a relaxed route through the park’s scenic trails. Laughter, conversation and plenty of muddy boots made for a memorable day that perfectly captured the Olive spirit of togetherness, wellbeing and adventure.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a success.
