Fundraising opportunities

Plan an event

If you'd like to support the outstanding work that is enabled by Olive Academies Foundation, we're always looking for ways to raise money. You could choose from one of our fundraisers, or plan an event of your own.

Read on to see how you can get involved.

Fundraise for Olive Academies Foundation

Every pound raised for Olive Academies Foundation helps transform the lives of young people who have faced barriers to education. By organising your own fundraising event, you can help us provide incredible opportunities, from residential trips to creative, wellbeing and skills-based projects across our academies.

Whether you’re an individual, part of a community group or representing a business, there are countless ways to get involved and make a difference.

Fundraising ideas to get you started

1. Take on a challenge

Push your limits and inspire others to sponsor you. You could run a 10k, complete a triathlon, take on a sponsored hike or organise a step challenge with friends or colleagues. Every stride you take helps our students build the same resilience and confidence that these activities promote.

2. Host a bake sale or coffee morning

A classic and much-loved way to raise funds while bringing people together. Invite colleagues, family and friends to enjoy homemade treats in return for a small donation. Add a competitive twist by crowning the Star Baker!

3. Dress-up (or dress-down) days

Simple, fun and easy to organise in a workplace or school setting. Choose a theme and ask everyone to make a small donation to take part.

4. Quiz nights and games evenings

Hold a charity quiz in your local pub, community hall or online. Combine questions about popular culture, sport or general knowledge with a fun round about Olive Academies itself (let us know if you need inspiration for questions!). Entry fees and raffle prizes can add to your fundraising total.

5. Sponsored silence or digital detox

For something a little different, challenge yourself (or your team) to go without speaking, texting or using social media for a set period. It’s harder than it sounds - and a great talking point once you’re allowed to speak again!

6. Workplace fundraising

Encourage your company to support OA Foundation through a charity partnership or a matched funding scheme. You could also set up a payroll giving option so employees can donate directly from their salary. Corporate involvement not only raises funds but strengthens your organisation’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) profile.

7. Seasonal events

Turn annual celebrations into fundraising opportunities. Host a summer barbecue, festive jumper day, Easter egg hunt or charity car wash. Adding a Foundation fundraising goal gives your event extra purpose and visibility.

Make your fundraising count

Once you’ve decided on your event, let us know! We can provide advice, resources and materials such as logos and posters to help you spread the word.

You can collect donations through JustGiving, Charities Aid Foundation or by contacting us directly at info@oafoundation.org.uk.

Every event, no matter how big or small, helps OA Foundation continue to deliver projects that build confidence, broaden horizons and change young lives for the better.

With your help, we can help every Olive Academies student venture beyond expectation and reach their full potential.
