Olive Academies Trust’s Deputy CEO, Adam Tedesco, took on the Giddy Horse Challenge last weekend - a 12-hour team relay event in which he and two of his long-time friends, Rob and Jon, ran over 70 miles between them and raised over £1,600 for the Olive Academies Foundation.
The challenge marked a joint celebration of the trio’s 50th birthdays and was a chance to support a cause close to their hearts.
Together, they raised an incredible £1,674 (and counting), with all funds going directly to the foundation to support opportunities for students across OA’s provisions.
The Olive Academies Foundation was established in 2021 as the charitable arm of the trust. It exists to fund projects and experiences that venture beyond the traditional curriculum, helping young people build confidence, broaden their horizons and develop the skills they need to thrive.
Speaking after the challenge, Adam said:
“It was an exhausting but brilliant day. The support from colleagues across Olive has meant a lot - and knowing we were running to benefit children and young people kept us going during the tougher miles.”
The fundraising page remains open for anyone who still wishes to donate.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported the challenge. These donations will make a real difference to the lives of Olive students.
